The Skye Boat Song is an old Scottish folk tune, depicting the flight of Bonnie Prince Charlie from the battle at Culloden. It is bold, jaunty, and yet has a tragic undertone. It is also the main theme of the TV show Outlander, which inspired me to write this arrangement.
